How We Began

With shared experience in the dairy and feed industry, two colleagues decided to combine their knowledge and spread their wings.

Rick Henderson and Andre Lietze formed FeedCo Ltd in 2023 with the amalgamation of three well established Bay of Plenty businesses, Bill Webb Feed Solutions, Dovaston Agriculture and Litchfield Grains.

Keeping staff from all three businesses, along with their own industry knowledge, a very strong team was formed.

How we Began

Rick was raised on a 330ha farm in the Waikato where his passion began. He completed a farming apprenticeship before venturing to the USA where he gained experience on large combine harvesters, tractors and trucks. Upon his return to NZ, Rick returned to the family farm, working his way up to the role of Operations Manager.

Having worked on the family farm for over 20 years, Rick moved to Tauranga with his family to train and serve in Christian ministry on a voluntary basis before returning to the industry as an Operations Manager for Gavins Ltd (one of the largest agricultural contractors in NZ) where he continued to work until forming FeedCo Ltd.

Andre was born and raised in the deep south of NZ. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Management with Honours from Lincoln University, cutting his teeth working as a Rural Manager for Rabobank NZ Limited.

More recently, Andre further built his knowledge and skill set while working for Gavins Ltd, overseeing the finances for the group and managing the Stockfeed Business Unit. Having developed a strong understanding of maize growing and feed supply, and a strong desire to own a business, the dream of FeedCo became a reality.

Since the business began, with the support of their families and the experience brought to the team from the 3 prior businesses, FeedCo Ltd is moving from strength to strength and growing fast.

The goal is to become the most trusted feed supplier and contractor who farmers can rely on to provide the best products and services at affordable prices. We hope you can be a part of the journey!
